Wouldn't be too hard to do that Rob
Regardless, you will never regret buying a home! You only regret buying the lawnmower!!

Agree with saboteur!! What, with the temp down around zero or lower just the right time to drive around with the roof down!! No different to riding a bike unless it has a roof!

Re: MX5 CLUB OF QLD TRACK DAY 17 SEPT 2012
With some luck might be able to make this one. I just have another question with regards to layouts, in the past we generally had 5 or 6 timed sessions and we did half the afternoon on the Sprint track and half on the Clubman. I found this to be a good format and enjoyed the variety. The last time I went out with the mx5 club the decision was made to just run the Clubman track which myself and quite a few others were a bit disappointed about. Does anyone know what the format will be for this afternoon?
Cheers,
Tim

That sounds good. The sprint track looks especially interesting with those couple of corners at the Cross over as it heads in the Dick Johnsons straight.... The clubman looks a little boring in comparison, but having both to compare would be really cool.

The Clubman and Sprint layouts are both good tracks for an MX-5. The Clubman has a good little gotya in the dip which has seen many a newbie spin. There should really be no reason why we can't use both layouts at this event...apart from apathy.

Agreed, I enjoy both tracks and they are both great fun in an MX5 and can both be surprisingly challenging! Hopefully we can do both like we have in the past.

I've only done the 'Sprint' once and that was when the dip was covered in water!! That day saw cars spinning everywhere, became very interesting at turn 6 onto the main straight with WET tyres!! Was more like Rallycross!!

Re: MX5 CLUB OF QLD TRACK DAY 17 SEPT 2012
I dont think i have ever done the Sprint layout when it was fully dry!
Maybe 4 years ago?
As too complaining on this forum that both layouts are not used
The last 3 times I have been to QR with the club, at the Driver briefing, Mark asked for a show of hands as to whether to run Clubman all day or switch halfway to the Sprint.
Only a few hands went up, Majority rules. If you want to run the Sprint speak up in the right venue and be heard.
We need to run the Clubman for fairness in the overall yearly competition, but there is no reason other than, indiferance, that we couldnt run the Sprint for a couple of sessions.
PS watch out for those that went to driver training day at Morgan Park on the weekend.
I am sure we will all be out to try our new found skills.
