Not sure why you'd say that? Dann's been super awesome and someone else has already offered to buy the 1st intake pipe off Dann/me already.... It's that good!

But yep, I'm a fussy f#?ker and would like it just so.

Thanks Dann!

I offer to buy the first one. The quality of the workmanship is very tradesmen like. All that happen was it was made for a na8 inlet not a na6. Very easy to change the angle.
You can tell that Dann enjoys doing this work and it shows in his work.

I guess those of us who can do, and those of us can't park are cars at mx5 plus and have them work on it.

Today Ive had Christsolo's car here fitting Dweezles previous turbo kit to it.

It was a frustrating day.

Somehow this car had its P/S and A/C hoses routed a little differently, meaning 2 hours work getting the intercooler piping to fit right.

Then the drill and tap could not be found. I had it just the other day.

And then the horrible turbo tony downpipe which only JUUUUUUUUUST fit dweezles car did not fit this car, so it was cut and welded so that its outlet faced the right direction..

By 4pm we gave up on my tap set for drilling and tapping the sump and retired to the bolt shop. I purchased a new tap.

The decision was made to leave the car here, and pick it up friday, giving me plenty of time to do it properly, including some custom work to make the car a little more complete and legal. Ish.

Thanks for your help today Christopher, and allowing me to keep the car a couple of days here to finish it properly.

Dann

(EDIT: Tired! Sorry dweezle, yes your kit, not gslenders..)

Thanks for sharing Dan, it's great to see all your mod work. Hope to see/hear James's car soon.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Looking very sexy.

So, do you think the IAT sensor will thread in enough to be in the intake air flow? Did you cut and re-tap it or just cut it?

I cut it and welded on the less tight end, and drilled a much larger hole in the pipe itself to make sure the sensor can fit through.

Then I tapped it a further 1-2cm.

I also put a bit of an angle on the IAC valve pipe cos it seemed to fit nicer on my car with the shorter bend on this pipe.

And yes thats a heat coloured 'G' on the heat shield. Its faint enough to polish off easily if you dont like it.

Awwww, that's good.... LOL, yup that's cool.

Ok, so don't forget to put the plastic intake pipe in the bag along with this one :P

I don't think I need one of these, but I'm pretty sure I want one anyway.
