Are you running the 1.25" hollow RB frt sway bar ?

I wouldn't mind one, so if anyone in WA wants one I'll split shipping.

Yes, tubular front and the adjustable rear. Makes the NB very taily.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

FM/AWR mounts are in the car now but talk about a PITA.

The NB lower radiator brackets had to be modified to clear these mounts:

After searching miata.net, it seems others have had this same problem. I wouldn't have thought it would be rocket surgery to make a mount that bolts straight up? :?

Dave from MX-5/Automotive Plus did the fabrication work and it looks quality, it's just a shame it had to be done in the first place.

It would help to understand the different thoughts in this thread if there was some consistency in the spelling and meaning of the words "brake" and "break".
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

saboteur...Not worth buying then? I'm not sure what I am looking at in your picture to see the modifications you had to make.

I am about to chuck coilovers and semi-slicks at my NB so I guess I need to look at this sooner rather than later!

To throw this in to the mix, I have seen my fair share of MX5s that have been involved in front end collisions. Even a minor impact can bend the chassis rail enough to put a nasty lateral load/bend into these mounts at the exact point sab's mounts have broken.

I wouldn't mind betting that there are a lot of cars out there that have been repaired and the mounts straightened, leaving a weakness in the mount(s).

I put a set of these mounts (got mine from Goodwin, but same thing) in my NB8A when I put in heavier sways, and didn't have to modify any radiator mounts?

Though I did have to remove the radiator to get enough working room to be able to grind off the welds on the old sway bar mounts..

I think I received old stock; a few posts on miata.net suggest that AWR modified the design so this was no longer an issue on the NB.
