Good to hear.
I tried RaceChrono for the first time last Sunday (29/7/12) at Wakefield, running it on a cheap 7" android tablet ($120), and using an old 1Hz bluetooth GPS. Other than operator errors, it worked well.
The 7" tablet made it easy to read the display at a glance, which is why I used that instead of a phone, and even with the 5ish year old bluetooth GPS, the best laptime reported from each run was within 0.1 of the official times.
Of course, gathering the data is only half the challenge. The next step is to analyse the information, and decide how to improve. This thread has given a few links that I will follow up.

Haven't heard of this unit before. Looks nice and much cheaper than Performance Box. But I'm not sure they'll get many sales with the sheer lack of specification details on the website. Doesn't even specify the GPS sampling frequency which is critical for a decent laptimer. Would be nice if you could play with the software before committing to buy.

Looks like both options have an internal GPS antenna. You would only need an external antenna if your windscreen is made from athermic glass. Athermic windscreens are used to cut down the amount of UV radiation transferred through the windscreen. Unfortunately they also dampen/reduce GPS signals coming through the windscreen, in which case you need an external GPS antenna. Similarly, windscreens that have the FM antenna built into them can cause poor GPS reception.
How does it compare with performance box?
No idea. Seems to offer virtually identical capability. Would be nice to try the software first. If you're interested, I suggest you phone the seller.

Re: Data Loggers, who uses one???
Thanks Guran
Sampler is 10Hz
Will ring the local supplier and find out more.
Here is a bit more background
http://www.aimsports.com/products/solo/index.html
It sells here from $445 + delivery
From the blurb above it has predictive timing and seems to do a lot of what performance box does?
Cheers

Re: Data Loggers, who uses one???
Due to the NA not having OBD-II I'm looking at Innovates' DL-32 for data logging.

You did better than me finding that info in the website!

Ah, that website is much better! Plenty of reading for you in there. Looks like these units are popular with kart racers. Might be worth asking zossy1 if he's heard of them being used here.

Re: Data Loggers, who uses one???
I use Trakaroo on my android. As well as displaying lap and split times it automatically logs the best time of each session to Facebook (you can do each lap) and syncs to a web site (e.g. http://www.mytrackmaster.com/#SessionPl ... W9uGNnVBgw)
I use a Qstarz 1000EX for logging the GPS data and the associated software for reviewing my perfomance.
I use Dashware for synching with video from my Go Pro for results such as these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zS8M6Ftz ... =autoshare
Cheers,
Colin.

Yes, very happy with it!
In the process of seeing if my ECU can spit out serial data with RPM & TPS values so I can log those too.
