But the engine will rock sideways and bump the pipe?

I have totally solid mounts so there is zero movement :)

how would you rate the quality of the begi reroute?

thinking of getting on myself and some of their other bits.

Hi, I only got the sandwich plate and outlet elbow. The quality is really good, fit is good and came with everything I needed. Only thing to watch out for is the thread size on the sandwich, my NA6 seems to have a different thread to what was supplied. I would check this when ordering. Although the thread was not right for me, the after sales from BEGI was excellent, they were willing to make me a new one, but in the end it was actually easier for me do to something different, so not a prob.

Well, the other day I put my car in reverse and the box went clunk and then there seemed to be some nasty noise coming from the drive line. I thought the box was toast and the gamble to put in an un known gearbox had bitten me.

I started investigating today, I did not think the box was the issue, but the diff felt a bit strange - I knew it needed some attention, when I put it in it was not great (second hand) - however what I found was a bit surprising.

I bought the mazda speed plated LSD assembled and just put it in the car, the back lash seemed a bit loose, but intend sorting it at some point. Basically I took the diff appart today to find that the crown gear to be totally loose, the pinion shaft had loads of free play in it, because it had not been tightened. I was very luck I found this before it made a real mess of itself.

So my day looked like this, but at least it is not the gearbox :)

Everything is not sorted.

If you are still running the 1.6 diff, I picked up a lsd centre over the weekend. Centre only with Crown wheel, no pinion to go with it. Let me know if you want it.

The sunday I saw you was pretty good, however I went out the sunday just gone and sprung a water leak. Luckily I noticed before anything bad happened. Ditched the car, went home got some tools, went back and fixed it.

Kind of my own fault, the manifold I have has the water exit on it that the head feeds. I am not using this water way, so I did not cut a hole in the gasket I made. But more importantly I did not block off the outlet on the manifold and I think the gasket just pushed through - easy fix.

Hoping to get is on the dyno this week or next week.

Having a not so good day at the dyno right now. Basically, late starting from when I booked, issues with the actual dyno and the dude who is supposed to be helping me has disappeared to do something else. Should have been nearly done by now and basically have not started. Very frustrating - but I am sure it will be worth the wait.

I won't be able to get a proper power figure because we have moved to the bigger hubs on the dynapack, so it is like putting massive wheels on the car. Never mind the tune is more important.

Not good at all, was a waste of time and money. Basically equipment issues, mentioned the dyno above and then when I came to do spark I found the knock box was broken. I know people tune NA cars without a knock box, but my ear is probably not as trained as others, so I pretty much stopped there - I did not want to risk destroying my engine.

Probably seen from my other thread I am upgrading to MS2, so once I have that I will be going back to a different dyno where I am confident I will get better service and support.

Only briefly dríven the car, they did not really feel any better, but did not really stamp on them, will try and get out this weekend.

Got my new MS2 daughter board in my MSPNP and got the ms2/extra firmware loaded. Got to get the tune sorted out now....

Does any one have a like a base map for a NA6, don't mind if it is stock, just need all the trigger stuff for the heaps of new settings in the MS2

PM gslender.

Or I've got a base map that he sent me, but please just double check with him, to make sure it's safe for you.
Cheers Nigel.
