I will check my NB vs NA pedals tommorow, and if anything stands out I will let you know.

That doesn't look right for an NB either. From memory my pedals look like your brother's NA and I know I can heel and toe with the inside and outside of my foot, so they're no more than with width of a size 10 shoe (ball of the foot on the brake, little toe in the accelerator).

Thanks guys.

Much appreciated.

so annoying.
Thought I was done with this job and then I sort of sat back and realised.
It is not obvious to me anyways why this pedal box sits different.

Guess I will have to try and find another one.

compare the busted accelerator pedal to that one, you might get away with bending it over in a vice.

i need to do this sh*t soon and i'm not looking forward to it. :?

It would appear not.

Autos have a pretty big brake pedal.

Yeah i thought about doing that but am worried it would not work or even just weaken it and i would have to do it all again.

Looks bent Mark.

They bend fairly easily, and given the battle it is to get them out I would not be surprised if it was bent at some stage during removal...

Lou, you pulled it out I presume, is that possible?

If it was me i'd just bend the sucker into place but I'm a sledgehammer-egg kind of guy ;)

Thanks ZOSSY!!

I thought of that.
Was just worried i would screw such a nice new looking one up.
Or i would bend it over and it would not be right.

I should be able to bend it in the car right?
I would not have to pull it out again ??
Please.. PRETTY PLEASE say I CAN DO IT IN THE CAR

A good vinyl wrap will cost you the same as a good respray, much for a much really. I was seriously considering it myself til dad offered to teach me to spray.
I am still contemplating having my bonnet wrapped in black. I'm looking at about $200 for that.

Mark,

As I put in my PM, you should be able to bend it in the car without to much hassle. use a pipe spanner or similar to get some leverage and you can control where the bend happens.

Good luck and let me know how it goes.

I think he has moved back to working on his bike now, but some James Squires might change his mind =P

Had a little time this Arvo.
Tightened the pedal box up and applied a little force to move the accelerator pedal closer to the brake pedal.
Seems to have worked mostly.

Image

It is not 100% but maybe with a little more persuasion it might get there.

I have noticed the pedal is stiff with the cable connected.
Does anyone know if I can just use some motorcycle cable lube to free it up or is a new cable on the cards?

The clutch also has a fair bit of free play before it starts to disengage but I believe I can just adjust that out.
More time with my head under there !!!! Ugh!!
