Re: DWEEZLE'S BACK!!
And........ BOOOM!!!!!!!!!
Can not thank Boyracer enough!
LIFESAVER.
Seriously, this thing looks brand new.
The past 2 days have proved to me again what an amazing place this forum is.
So many people all helping out for no personal gain.
Nothing but compliments.
Well unless i vocalised i was actually keeping my Delicious 18" SIK RIMS!!!
Now, tomorrow this nightmare of removing the old pedal box and installing the new one.
Nothing i have read so far points to it being easy.
AGREE!!
but the funds do not stretch to that yet.
This is kind of an exercise in Bang for buck.
At least for now.
The plan is to try and get as much out of it as possible for as low a dollar figure without ever becoming DODGY.
If that makes sense. it does to me anyways.

It's more awkward than difficult.
Removing the driver's seat will make it 10x easier.

Will certainly remove the seat.
Thanks mate.
Do i need to drop the steering rack? Hopefully not.
I finally got a chance to go through the paper work i found in the car.
Found all the original Service history and Service manuals, receipts of sale, plus receipts for a ton of stuff bought over the years.
Here is some of it.
Receipt for the horrible short shifter that is broken
Receipt for the Hardtop
Turns out Mania was partially behind the horrible Cluster Not Mania;s fault.
And the best one saved till last.
Wondered how much someone paid for my delicious, Sought after 18" rims?

Re: DWEEZLE'S BACK!!
From memory, you don't have to REMOVE the column to get at the pedal box, but it will make it easier if you drop it down (two bolts and a u-bracket under the cluster).
I do recall having to unbolt both master cylinders and struggling for room in pulling them forward enough without removing them.
Don't forget to readjust your throttle cable once you have the new box installed!

Not the steering rack, just the column inside the car.

Re: DWEEZLE'S BACK!!
Hmmmm.. That was not fun and not really successful either.
Started out not so bad, removed the seat and got to the bolts and nuts.
It all looked to come out except i could not get it past the Master cylinder/Servo piece that sticks through.
After like an hour i realised i could pull the master cylinder even further from the firewall and it came clear.
It was such a relief!!
I also thought at this point it was now going to be a SUCCESS!!
I then installed everything back in and found out for some reason the new pedal box has the accelerator way too far to the right and rubs on the trim?
Could someone let me know why this could be?
Could it be the pedal box is from a NB or something?
The gap between the accelerator and the brake pedal is much larger than my old Malibu and my brothers NA6.
Here is a pic from his NA.
Hell and toe would be impossible.
Any answers would be much appreciated!!!!
