Re: My Black NB8A
Fitted the lighter flywheel and HD clutch over the long weekend, it fought me every step of the way but it's done now.
The engine is so much more responsive and willing to rev now. Driving at parking speed is taking a bit of getting used to but I haven't stalled it yet.

Just wondering why you picked the Xtreme flywheel over the Exedy equivalent.
You are doing some very nice stuff with this car.

I couldn't find any info on them on either the aussie or US sites so I went with the Xtreme one.

Re: My Black NB8A
I have ordered my new suspension . I have gone with Koni Yellow shocks and Eibach Pro-Kit springs from Good-Win Racing.
Also I got a 10Hz Bluetooth GPS receiver which paired to the RaceChrono lap timing app on my phone shall give me lap timing for my track days.

Re: My Black NB8A
The Eibach springs should be great.
I've got Eibach's in both my cars (Pro-kit in the Mondeo, Mazdaspeed made by Eibach in the MX5)
They're a great spring for road use, just that bit stiffer than stock so it can still be comfortable.

Make sure your phone can handle that rate, you'll need it to run at least 1Ghz just to keep up with the amount of data that gets generated - if not, you will need to drop it down to 5Hz (still 5x better than the GPS in-built into most phones).

My phone has a 1Ghz CPU so I'm all good on that front.

I assume 10Hz roughly translates to updating your position 10 times per second?

Yup.
FYI: 100km/h = 27.778m/s so in a straight line at 100km/h, a 100% accurate 10Hz GPS receiver would report positions 2.7778m apart.
* a 5Hz receiver only reports 5 times per second so the distance between reports is 5.5555m
* a 1Hz receiver only reports 1 time per second so the distance between reports is 27.778m
Notes:
* In reality, GPS positions can be up to 30m in error so the difference between a 5Hz and 10Hz GPS receiver is not significant.
* On a TomTom/NavMan/Garmin, they seem more accurate because the software "snaps" the reported GPS position to the closest road they have mapped in them.

Replaced my front pads in preparation for the club track day on the 29th, I went with Bendix Ulitmates.
I know they are not a fantastic track pad but suit the more of street focus my car has.

Re: My Black NB8A
In general off the shelf GPS (non RTK) is 3 to 4 times less accurate in the vertical than in the horizontal. The lack of accuracy in the verticality is due to ‘cheap’ GPS’s using satellites that would be excluded (due to verticality error) from calculations of position to ensure that the user gets a quick fix and doesn’t have to wait for more reliable satellite data.
If you have a GPS that has a stated 20m accuracy this is in the horizontal only and not the vertical, verticality could be +80m or -80m (a 160m error range). Hence a handheld GPS is no match for survey grade GPS and claims of 1m accuracy of handheld GPS is only true if you leave the handheld GPS there for a long period of time so that it can acquire more satellites.

Let me know how you go with the lower ride height and that front lip, that's the only thing holding me back from getting one

Re: My Black NB8A
After a drive around and a second look it seems not all is well, have had a massive drop at the front and and minimal drop or even a raise at the back. Thinking that the workshop I had install it has got something ass backwards . Will keep you posted.
