DWEEZLE'S BACK!!
I AM BACK!!
Like anyone cares!
Well i will be soon anyway. I should be picking up the car tonight.
Everyone starts these after they have the car, i want to start this NA6 journey, which is my 3rd time around, before i pick up the car.
I have won through the dirty world of Ebay, an auction for a NA6.
Have not seen the car yet, but i am picking it up this evening.
I actually won the auction about a week ago but had to leave for Tassie the next morning and the guy selling it said that was fine.
Few issues though..
Number 1 and this is hard for me to even accept.
The car is RED
2 it has a TAN Interior i believe
3 Disgusting, enormous wheels. they appear to be like 17" in the few pics i have.
4 Dreaded clear tail lights
But i can live with that for the price i got it for.
It comes with a White Hardtop, Strut Brace and apparently includes a set of coilovers and extractors not installed on the car.
6 months rego and supposedly just over 200,000 on the engine.
This car has TRACK WORK locked in to its future.
I sold my Malibu and turbo kit in preparation for a Trackable car with a cheaper starting price and i do not think i could have got a Mx5 for much cheaper. The real condition will be provided in a few hours.
I have not been without a vehicle though.
I have been Riding around on my lil VTR250 Motorbike for the past few months and been loving it.
The bike will stay as the road toy for now.
Here are the few pictures i have of the car from the seller.
I think she looks pretty tidy and after i sell off the bits i do not want will make a fun toy to go crazy with.
I am still unsure on keeping the Hardtop or not.
I would like to loose the soft top and just run the hardtop but the cash provided from selling the Hardtop could go to other things.
PRETTY EXCITED!!
Now, how the hell do i make it not BLOODY RED!!!!!!!!!!

Re: DWEEZLE'S BACK!!
those wheels are horrible.
you could just try and paint it your self if you are that unhappy with the colour. or just try and replace all the panels with carbon fibre ones!!!

Re: DWEEZLE'S BACK!!
HAHA i love how horrible the wheels are.
Going to be the most embarrassing trip all the way from Green Valley back to Lane Cove.
Does not bother me too much if the clutch or engine is a bit shagged.
It will all be replaced anyway.

Oh now that is an idea.
Hmmm Wonder if it can be done cheaply.
Am i right in assuming you can just pull the vinyl off a few years down the track and the pain would all be good??

Re: DWEEZLE'S BACK!!
if you're interested in a matt black hardtop in good condition, i'd be interested to swap you if the white one is pretty good.
please dispose of those wheels thoughtfully when you replace them. ie crush, melt and/or explode them!

Getting a Pro to do it is apparently ridiculously expensive... I'd love to do this myself to my car though.... $120. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=376442

I reckon they are 18"s mate, look radiculous haha!
Hope the massive wheels haven't been too hard on the poor clutch!

I'm wondering who makes a wheel in that "style" in 17/18" in 4x100?
