Hi guys.
My car has idle issue for a long time, and I think it's the ISCV caused the problem.
I cleaned my spare throttle body unit, also the ISCV this afternoon and replaced the old one.
I connectd everything back, and started the car. the engine rev to about 2600 RPM, then the drop
to 0.
BTW, when I replaced it I found the TB gasket is gone, and I just fit it on without the gasket at the moment.
any one know what's the problem.
Many thanks

From your profile you have a Na6?
Did you touch the AFM? If so did you unscrew the afm plug? I hope you didn't because if so you have broken your afm and will need to either fix it or get a replacement.

Yea,it's na6
I didn't touch the AFM, I just disconnect the mid pipe to get me more room to take the TB off.
I have no idea what cause that problem.I am pretty sure the TB I put on was working because it's
from my old engine.

Re-check all wiring connections to the throttle position sensor and in the general area, including earth straps.
Then check out pages F136 and F137 of the factory manual for testing and adjustment of the throttle position sensor.

Re: Urgent: Car won't start after replace TB
Thanks manga_blue, I have that book already, download last year.
It's dark outside, but I am pretty sure I re-conneted everything and they sit nicely.
I just went out and started the car again, I heard some vacum leak between the
TB and the intake manifor, I may need to order a new gasket to try it out.
BTW, Can I get the gasket from local autoban and supercheap?

I've had a very neatly spread thin film of RTV on mine for the past 4 years.

Also try diconnecting the battery & then pressing the brake pedal a few times to reset the ECU.

Perhaps open the idle adjuster screw a bit to set a high idle (then adjust to normal if that fixes the problem).
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: Urgent: Car won't start after replace TB
Car runs again after I cleaned up the surface of the intake manifold and fited a new gasket.
The problem was air leaking between the Intake manifold and the TB.
The car is respond better than before, however it still has high idle problem even cleaned the ISCV.
Thanks for your guys help.
