Drivers Briefing is around 11.30am and then kick off around noon, so spectating 11am is fine but better to wander along thru the pits, meet a few people, BRING A FOLD UP CHAIR, and then sit back with a few and have a 'chin wag'

Remember to take your camera, guarantee you will take 400+ photos and all will be appreciated by those running, we can show you where you can and can't go and you will get the best action shots!!

Well, I'll get there by 10am then.

zero00 wrote:After the days over I bet you say 'OK, count me in for the next one!!' Must admit I watched I think 4 meets before I got the courage to have a run and haven't looked back! Oh how good to break 1:20 on the first day, I think it was a 1:14.91 back then!! Now it's a battle to shave just 0.10secs of a lap!!

Will probably have a go at QR in September. I believe that is the next meet, correct me if I'm wrong. Just have to sort out my priority, the helmet or the hard top.

QR is 17 September, so about 11 weeks away Kev

I prefer running with the roof down regardless, better visability, only ever done one run with the roof up because it was sprinkling! Some prefer ragtop up, most with it down - helmet AS1698 full face will suffice, check out motorcycle shops for them

Show you mine 23rd

Stickers? Numbers? Is something you have to have, or just can have because you'd like to run around with a number of the side of the car???

Just bring some masking tape. You will be allocated a number on the day and QR have the numbers to put on the car. Numbers are required so the timing people can figure out what is going on and also so that you can be referred to by car number.

gs

We use the same number all year, mine is '141' and I had them made up with numbers I bought and on magnetic backing. No, they go on at the track and come off before I leave, I tape them on just in case I manage to go too fast! I also have the number top left of the windscreen, there are a few silver NB's around so easy to pick out who is who

Lakeside Office will have numbers but if you have a favourite email Mark the compsec just in case someone is already using it. Best on first day take one issued that's available and if you like that, stick with it in future

You will also need to fit a timing transponder which can be hired / purchased from the office at the track. This is a small plastic box that is attached by cable ties.

Looking at the AASA license application form, there are options - which do we buy? Clubman $55 or National $210

I assume I can fill this PDF form that I got from the QR website and have it filled out ready to submit on the day (or even fax back to them etc?)

G,

Simply choose the clubman license and typically lodge it on the day

Clubman Licence [not National] - can all be done on the day with forms available at the Lakeside Office

It's best if you can download all the forms and have them completed and ready to hand in on the day as it saves a lot of time and means we can get the most track time for our money.

Just organising my CTP Extension and Suncorp asked this question "Thank you for your email. Can you provide us with the name of the rally so we can proccess your extension."

I guess that is "MX5 CLUB OF QLD TRACK DAY 23 JULY 2012" - yeah?

Maybe someone who also deals with Suncorp can answer that, but yes that would be a description of the event

Anyone else confirm that?

Excellent that you have the 'Contour', Ross C has one for his NB
