Oil specifications 6 speed & torsen

Postby jerrah » Mon Jul 02, 2012 9:50 am

What are the official Mazda specifications for oil in the 6 speed & torsen?

I've done some searches but people seem to be using very varied viscosities & ratings.

6 speed (same oil spec as 5 speed)
75W90 or 80W90 if always above 10C
GL4 or GL5

torsen (same oil spec as open)
90 grade if always above -18C
GL5

I have a na6 which came with neither so my manual (which I also do not have) would not be much help.

Locutus' post is effectively a direct quote from the official Mazda factory service manual for the NB8B 6 speed.
