I remember reading a 800RWHP BP on Miataturbo not too long ago, I'll have a look for it.

Yeah that's it, could be some useful info about a strengthened crank perhaps?

Hi james,

The jig for building your exhaust was done today, unfortunately a lot of my day was wasted by driving to a business that isnt at its old location, and is listed at the wrong place still. Bastards.

Anyways, I have the only SE in the country with a set of race extractors on it right now and an SE exhaust on the floor with all sorts of bits welded to it for a jig haha. Ill continue it tomorrow evening.

Just a whimsy thought in the last 5 minutes

Not really something I have thought much about to be honest, I'm happy with keeping the simplicity of N/A at the moment and having to drive the tyres off it to get anywhere quickly.

Carry on as you are :D

Hi mate, missed this post!

For a start, I'd just supercharge it and see how that travels, maybe even start with an SC14.

Forged pistons and rods, ARP mains and head studs. Big valve head, ported of course. I'd run big comp and E85, maybe even 10-1 or more, and about 10lbs boost for a start, then once it's sorted keep upping it, maybe 15-20lbs. Cam wise, probably something over the .400" mark, 280deg advertised and 240@50ish. Inlet wise, a custom plenum style unit with tapered runners and bellmouths inside it, and a decent throttle body, 60mm ish. I'd run injectors in the std spot, and a second set pre-charger with a staged system and see how that went. BIG pipes, probably 2" primaries, but still put some thought into the lengths.

Cheers
