Driver Training at Morgan Park Warwick QLD

Postby mazlot » Tue Jun 05, 2012 8:18 am

Hello boys and girls,

I have a driver training session booked on Saturday 4th August, start at 1.00 pm through to 5.00 pm, at Morgan Park.

Cost is $250 per driver.

I understand we have the use of different track layouts during the afternoon, including the large circuit.

Have a few spaces left, if anybody is keen. Instructors available, and you all know you need one

email jeffal (at) optusnet (dot) com (dot) au for details.

Paid and SDT have confirmed.

Again thanks for organising this afternoon.

I just need to decide if I'm going to go to the Sunshine Coast club run on the Sunday, just think of the km's to enjoy with the top down (Gold Coast to Warwick to Gold Coast to Sunshine Coast to Gold Coast) decisions...

Well, thanks for supporting my efforts in giving you people what you asked me for.

5 attendees, don't know why I even bother anymore.

A track day, where you might actually learn something, as well as have some fun, sounds like crap to me too

Probably six now. I did not pay until Wednesday night. It's not always that easy to cough up readys.
I do appreciate your efforts Jeff.
I, for one, enjoyed the skid pan day back in March.
Cheers

Signed up and paid yesterday!

There is a discount offered for car club members. Joel Neilsen (Managing Director Safe Drive Training (Aust) Pty Ltd) sent me the following response regarding this discount:

Confirming your enrolment has been received...thanks.
Yes there will be a discount for the club
$220 pp if less than 10 enrol, $209 pp if 10 or more.

Looking likely this will go over 10 and therefore we will refund the overpayments

So if you're thinking about it, get in quick.
Don't worry about dying, worry about not living!

Well we have hit the 10 people as they have allowed my son to attend (he has a Red NA now) so expected to see him at track days as well. However his father will not be funding any car mods I need to keep some advantage over him :)

Just noticed the Coates Hire Ipswich 300 - The V8s are on at QR that weekend.
So traffic could be an issue going to, and returning via Willowbank

I haven't been up to Morgan Park in years!

a) Are there places still available?
b) Are passengers permitted in the vehicle like the old days as long as they sign indemnity?

I'll have to discuss it over at home but I'm interested!

Not really a shame I live on the Gold Coast so Mount Tamborine is looking like the way home for me.

Is there any spots left or is it too late to enroll for 1 more?

If there are vacancies, are participants required to bring safety gears such as helmets etc?

Also send email to jeffal.

Safety gear is the same as for a track day, inc helmet. Long pants, shoes, long sleeve shirt that is it. Spots not sure, you could ring SDT direct and ask.
