Wheal bearing replacement

I have noticed that when driving the rear right wheel has a very audible wobble noise.
It increases and my speed increase and vice versa.
I believe it may be the wheal bearing.
How do I go about sourcing one, cost, and fitting it.
Are mx5s bearings sealed?

ps I don't honestly remember coming across too many questions regarding wheel bearings on this forum. Also of the 3 MX-5s that I have owned I never had the need to replace the wheel bearings. Not saying that you are not correct in your thinking, just might be unusual is all. Have you checked your rear brakes to see if they have seized...search on here for 'slider pins' and you will get the picture.

I will have a look tomorrow morning to see if the brakes making contact.
its very audible and happens regardless of gear/neutral/under breaking which leads me to believe its a bearing not the diff or something else.

i just got a pair of front and rear bearings from CBC (http://www.conbear.com/)

Fronts were $125 each (NTN Bearings made in Japan)
Rears were $80 each (Koyo made in Japan)

I think the rears are definitely alot harder than the front, they are a bit of a mission.

Fronts are easy as since you just replace with a sealed unit but the rears you may need some special tools.

the usual thing is replace wheel bearings if there is a fault otherwise don't. Read a workshop manual and have the right tools the time and the facilities. There are lots of sources for bearings in Au like Yuge linked. Go to a source and get a quote for parts. Ordering from an equivalent lists can be a trap for getting the wrong item.

as i don't have a press an have learned that the bearings are sealed I got a quote from APA $250.

MX5 rear wheel bearings are the same as 323 front wheel bearings

MX5 front wheel bearings are sealed hub units. They are very easy to replace (10 minutes a side)

Flat spotted tyre! Take the wheel off and check it out closely around in good light. Or else rotate it with a front wheel and notice how the faulty wheel bearing moves with it.

Went down to book my car to get to them until monday.
I wont be able to drop the car off then.

Apparently (as I was told) the 1990 Mx5 Bearings are different to the Eunos Roadster ones. is this true?
