Front right wheel knock noise

Mmmmmmm, might look at the sway bar end links then. Given everything seems tight, is there any known method for testing? Or is it just jimmy with a large bar / screw driver to see how much movement exists?

Front right wheel knock noise

Postby gslender » Thu Jun 21, 2012 10:55 pm

I found the issue. Damn useless wheel alignment shop failed to tighten the lower wishbone camber cam. It was flopping in and out of the cam socket and I only noticed it when I started heaving on the brake caliper... Once found I tightened it up and all is good. Now I need another wheel alignment but won't be going back that shop again!

I looked at this thread last night to see if you had updated it from Saturday's last post. Nothing. But an update today. I was pretty certsain what it would be. Glad I was right. And glad you found the fault also. Heavens that could've turned out badly if the whole lot had come apart.

I am running the DBA S rotors and I have the same looseness between the hub that you are describing. It seems as though there may be a bolt to put through, but my previous rotors did not have the hole. However, it hasn't caused me any trouble so far It seems to tighten sufficiently when the wheel is on.
