Was it difficult to change the OEM across to the fastback. It doesn't appear to be carbon fibre, and plans to use a similar design for the time attack car*?

Didn't realize you got that on video. Awesome. It pulled 93.5rwkw and I think it was about 125nm. That is with the very good pod filter install. Large diameter setup. For mod class I need it to be under 90rwkw. So will replace it with the oem intake. After the next Vic s.s I will get it ready for p.I sprints with mod class configuration. The fastback is just an add on we made quickly. It is alucobond. It just sits behind the hardtop.

how did you get alucobond to curve so nicely, isn't that the stuff with aluminium either side of plastic. i have found it really rigid.

It bends really well. Especially such a slight curve like that. We bent it by standing on it and lifting.

It's about 3mm or so.

I went to sandown on sunday for the 3rd round of the vic super sprints. Won my class this time. And came 13th out of almost 90 cars, including some porsches, etc.
Video of me and a quick comodore racecar. I beat him on the day. Yey for me.

And another of a worked lotus elise. I think he turned the boost up after a couple of laps. Also beat the lotus too.

That Excel looked a tad annoying at fast pace, was traffic reasonable to navigate? Winton seems a fairly busy track, what numbers run per session on avg?

The annoying part about the excel in that video is it wrecked 2 laps for both themselves and also for Dave and the elise as he went slow through the final corner.

That was Sandown not Winton.

Traffic was a little bit of a problem all day.

Around 18 cars per session.

Sorry, My mistake about the track. I bit my lip in the video when the Excel went to turn in whilst the Lotus and MX5 were approaching alongside. Glad it was incident free overall.

Traffic is always a problem when you catch a car that is only fast on the straights. You can't get past them on the corners, and if you did, they would pass you and pull in front before the next set of corners. So in a real race you have no chance. At p.i there would be more chances.

I am going to make a fibreglass roof section starting tmrow, so i can get a start on the fastback.
