KU36s are up the higher end of the S spec scale, just below Star Specs.

David, what did you end up paying for the KU36? I was ringing around a whole lot of places this week to find a set at a reasonable price but the few places that had them or could get them in we're quie expensive. In the end I went with paying a small amount more to get star specs from the US.

$192 ea fitted for 205/50/15

There was a tyre place in Fairfield where they could be had a little cheaper ($180ish), but I was happy to pay a little more at SW because of their support of the MX5 community, and am happy I got good value once I saw the effort and care they put into cleaning and preparing the rims before fitting the new tyres.

Isn't option 1 garage the place to go?

Option 1 charge $184/corner for KU36, then $60 shipping to Sydney. Not cheaper than buying in Sydney.

How does the NSW MX5 club classify what is a street tyre for the stock NC class?

I'm referring to something like the Yoko AD08's or Hankook R-S3's (I run the latter on my current car and am very happy with them)
