pocket fitting ?
I'm in the procees of accumulating the bits in order to change my NA6 OE head unit for a later one and have bought a 97 NA toombstone with the double din recess and I'm puzzled as to how the single din pocket is retained, radio is easy , mount on carrier , screw in carrier to car, reinstall toombstone, put on radio suround --but-- pocket with lip--how ?

Re: pocket fitting ?
I had a '97 tombstone in a '91 and the pocket was jamed into the opening. From memory the pocket had a couple of small protrusions on the side that stop it from coming out. Generally it didn't move around and I could remove the pocket without removing the whole tombstone, which was handy if I needed to access any of the wiring back there.
Now I have a JDM '97 tombstone from a wrecker in my '94. The pocket is held in by a metal bracket that screws to the back of the tombstone. Very solid design.
Hope that helps.

Re: pocket fitting ?
Thanks for that ---damn, I'm going to have to find the bracket, screws and pocket--or buy a double din head unit
