Im not driving the car, but it seems that you should use 6th on the straight, focus on line and apex's, and remember, if the steering wheel is straight you should be either full throttle or full brake. Maybe practice your pedals on the street too. i always find If you can do it first time everytime on the street then you can on the track without even thinking about it.

yeah i would like to go to 6th.. but we'll see how it goes next time. 5th is the highest i can take turn one so i need to get back into that.. and i dont usually like shifting down at speed because it unsettles the car Might have to though.
Lakeside should be fun, looking forward to it. Catch can will be finished monday and then it goes off for a special bit of exhaust work.. Its gonna be ridiculous and over the top but its gonna be a cool piece to add to the car.

Yeah in that first session I wasn't heal toeing just driving normal. I was using a different line. Through a few of the corners so I was more concerned with getting that right. In the second session I was heal toeing but in saying that I we only out there for two laps so it didn't give me much time to practice

Granny shiftin' not double clutchin' like you should. You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake!

Experience is greater than any go fast mod you can bolt on! Although can be tricky in light sensible street braking, it's retraining your brain on how you downshift. I've always found it easier when you brake late and hard, but even h-t the landcruiser while trawling to work using minimal pedal pressure but keeping a steady foot while swiveling. It's all experience and it all counts.

i learned to heal-toe in a 60 series and my first car (renault!). I have always found low speed stuff in traffic is much harder to get the feel for.
You'll get the hang of it. Also, saw your new catch can today charlie - Should be sufficient

So update,
Picked the car up today.. Got a custom air oil seperator/catch can made up .. Its actually to parts in the one tank sort of thing.. hard to explain but its pretty cool. Should solve my problems for sure.. Will need to test it again at Lakeside Raceway in a couple of weeks so we will monitor how much oil gets in there and then go from there.. If its necessary for a drain that we will do that, also running a line off the other side of the valve cover to.
But like i said, still need to test. Its not something u can really test on the street unfortunately

I'm envious of all that space you have in your engine bay that allows you to easily move your catch can from the front of the engine bay to the rear. In my SE, engine bay space is at a premium so options are few and far between.
I'm enjoying your build progress so keep it up - it's giving me some "bad ideas" though ($$$).
