The parts are just sitting on, not bolted on yet, but the holes all do line up.
Ill have peter over in a few days to get it just a bit nicer before bolting it together and going for rego.

Yeah Green NA, still running stock gears, and not too sure what I want out of my current motor yet.

I'm pretty sure that if anyone has an old man's car in this photo it's me.

But heres the final product.

I learned some things making this manifold.

I learned to never accept hackjobs.
I learned that designing the manifold should take almost as long as building it.
I also leaned just how far you can extend the tungsten out of the cup at max gas flow before you are pushing your luck. (welders will follow)

Glad to see so many of your local guys jump in and help you get the job done - sometimes people get screwed for no reason but always pleasing when there is a positive reaction

And now mine begins

I checked the EGR what not and it is exactly the same as the stock one and mates up to the egr tube. I will chuck it in the post tomorrow.

The manifold looks good Dann. The workshop that used to do all the work on my old turbo NA always said the same thing about accepting owner supplied bits, to many people buying a cheap intercooler kit or exhaust system and then moaning like hell at the workshop when they turned around and said it would take hundreds of dollars worth of labour and re-manufacturing to fit it.

Yeah it does, and because your car is an NA8, and both of mine are NA6's, you will have to take some measurements for me.

I need the distance from the firewall to rearmost head flange stud. I would also like to know the distance above the rear, top headstud to the top of the firewall behind it.

It is this one...I did this task today as I found mine is split so ordered a new one. http://parts.arlingtonmazda.com/product ... 0A%29.html

If you use a turbo car it is a different shape according to this http://parts.arlingtonmazda.com/product ... 1X%29.html

I could try and figure out some measurements for location / angle?
