An older thread but related question for those who know the NC well...this article tends to focus on the earlier models 5 speed box.
Do you also need to change the turret oil of a 2006 model 6 speed manual? If so, do you need to use the same oil as gear box oil?

Re: Turret oil when changing
My understanding was that the 6 speed feeds oil from the rest of the box into the turret. So need need to change the oil. If you do clean out the turret and feel the need to top it up, probably wise to use the same oil.

I think the discussions about that relate to the NB 6 speed.
I don't think the NC 6 speed is the same gearbox, so a lot of the NA/NB rules probably won't apply.
