Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
We'd would like to come on the 1st June run. I did Mt Glorious on my old dead shockies, and am keen to go again now that its all sorted. It will be good to meet some of you & put faces to names. Oh, almost forgot, can you give me the details please?
Cheers
Andrew

Is it still on tonight? Rain doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon

Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
The Big Boss Man who lives upstairs is really telling us something, of that I am certain now.
7 out of 10 EOM or FOM Fridays have had unusually inclement weather either the whole day, or the first half of the day.... unusual in that the days either side have been fine.
I'm really hoping for another good turnout next Friday. Some newbies, and also it'll be good if, like The Darkside, some more people from GC coming. Old Dude? DaveX3 you back home?

What's the start time and from where?
Do you end up somewhere for coffee either up there or back down towards the city?
Thanks

1red5, I noticed there are no Saturday morning brekkie run for Brisbane. All the day trips organised by Mx5 club are held on Sunday. Is this due to lack of interest for trips to be held on Saturday or perhaps there is no one to organise it?

Usually meet at the Planetarium around 7.30 and leave at 8

We usually then head to Park Rd at Milton for coffee afterwards

Usually a lot of people have prior commitments of a saturday morning and the mountain roads are also a lot busier

Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
All MX5 Club runs are CAMS approved, route must be submitted etc
Each Chapter [Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast & Darling Downs] have one a month
That's not to say Club members can't just go for a cruise somewhere, I often do that with MX5 friends up thru Maleny Peachester Woodford Mt Mee area, nice roads!!
But it is nice when a group of 30+ MX5's head off for the day, morning tea and then lunch to finish - wander home at your liesure
Thanks Corners for the info - difficult from where I live and the fact I don't get home until around 5.45pm, but will keep that in mind

Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
Kev, there's certainly nothing stopping you from organising Saturday morning runs
Our Friday night runs are NOT club runs, just a bunch of MX-5 enthusiasts and mates gettin' together, chillin', thrillin' .... a lil' bit o' ill-in
Zero, you are most welcome to join, and as corners stated, since you are coming from Bribie, perhaps wait for us at a spot more convenient. Might I suggest the corner of Waterworks and Settlement roads?
We will be going the same route as Minx's mountain run, and at night there is virtually no traffic. Most nights it's an uninterrupted run to and from.

1red5
Know the location, about 70km from my place here! Thanks for that and will see how things go, maybe get off work a little earlier and hope the trains run on time

Re: FIRST Friday of the month Mt. Nebo/Glorious run
At that time of night, I reckon if you leave by 1830hrs you'll get to Waterworks rd before 2000hrs ...?
It'll be good for you to see how the other half lives, so to speak.
