I'd say you will be in Group 1, so if you know they are faster, let them out before you, I find that makes it easier :!:

Still, fun fun fun!!

if you want to bang doors I believe there is an actual 'race' competition you can participate in instead of 'club sprints'

So long as it's not like that video floating around here from Wakefield Park a few weeks ago!! Actually that's awesome vision!! They were all having a go!!

Just watched Phillip Island and saw JW taken out right when he was making a march on the lead - Such is life! But incredible racing just the same

ok i paid for the day.
can someone fill me in on cost of
aasa license

Reason I ask is that you have to have the exact money and if you dont have the right money you dont get the difference back.

As of Friday, QR still have no transponders for sale. However they do have enough hire units. Hire for the day is $20. If you want to buy one when they have stock, that $20 will be deducted from the new price ($80) so you will only need to pay $60 to purchase a new one at the next event - assuming they have some available for sale by then.

You only need to have the AASA Clubman licence: as stated above, $20 for a one day licence or $55 for one valid for 12 months. Have the licence and private & general testing applications filled out before you arrive at the track to save time. Link to the private & general testing form: http://www.mx5clubqld.com.au/wp-content/uploads/AASA-Private-General-Testing.pdf

10:30 to 11 am arrival
Registration from 11 am
Driver briefing 11:40
Track time 12:00 sharp.

Don’t forget your helmet, ankle, wrist, neck cotton clothing and of course, your car in good running order.

The 'correct' money related to the actual entry fee collected by the Club. The Licence fee and transponder hire relate to QR and are paid separately

Please ensure that you have your CTP extension. Your CTP insurer is the one that appears on the car registration, NOT the actual insurer of the car, although they can be the same as in my situation

Saboteur, if you and 'justabitrusty' are running the same car, I'm sure given the previous history of lap times for both you and 'rusty', 'rusty' would definately be in Group 1 and I am sure Mark would look after your request to run Group 2 given you are quite quick as well :!:

Results are up on Natsoft: http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results.cgi?21/05/2012.QR1.P1
A very well organised day from the club's end. Many thanks to Mark for giving up a day to oversee the track day and a huge thank you to Chris and Wendy for marshaling and flagging all afternoon.
