Bridgestone Potenza Offer - ends 31 May 2012

Bridgestone dealers have a special deal going at the moment where you buy 3 Potenza tyres and get the 4th tyre free. Eligible tyres include RE002, RE001, S001, RE050A, RE050, RE070, and RE040. Sadly no R-specs on that list. And bad news for NA owners ... they're not doing 14" tyres anymore. :cry:

What was the manufacture date on the tyres? I'm guessing it was runout stock but would be very pleased to hear otherwise.

Ran various Potenzas for many years, although Michelin PP2 for the last 5. Haven't run 14s for a while, but it was nice to know it was possible to go back to Potenzas on 14s if I wanted to. Sounds like the writing is on the wall.

where did you hear this? a week or so ago there was 100+ still in stock in Vic and the website still lists them

i'll be buying 8 or maybe 10 soon

bought from bridgestone and sourced from the sydney warehouse.
dont forget your nrma or similar card as that gets an extra discount at bridgestone.

hope the end of them is just a bad rumour, is there any fact behind it.

It's dated 30th March 2012. The website is grossly out of date - still lists RE55S R-specs which are no longer available - Bridgestone are only importing the RE11S now. Happy to be told otherwise if they're still doing RE001 in 14".

Group buy?

If anyone in NSW/Sydney is going to buy on this deal, is it worth seeing if there's any benefit in doing the buy in one go?
Especially if there are more than just a couple of sets.

It might especially be good for 14s since they may be a last chance to get these particular tyres if they're no longer being made.

This would make me keener to use 14s on my Clubman.
There must be at least four or five NA people in Sydney interested?
What do you think? Worth starting a list?

I wonder if any sponsors or anyone te mx5 club have used, could do us a deal: e.g. Spinning Wheel or another tyre dealer?

Thanks for checking. The number quoted on sidewall corresponds to a week number and year. Are you sure it's March 2012 and not week 3 2012 (ie 0312)?

got 195 50 15s and they were about 155 each. so ended up working about 116 per tyre with the discount. pretty good price imo.

they will still have release agent on them but even so they are plenty grippy. a little more compliant than the toyo r1r's they replace. funnily enough they are actually taller (maybe a couple of mm) even though the r1r's were 205 50's. might be because the tread was down quite low on the r1r's though.

i got them from bridestone select at annandale on paramatta road.
