'and1' has a sweet SE, it is a really nice clean car with some nice bits on there. Hope to see you out and about.

Nice to meet you too mate. I'll hopefully be out there doing some track days soon too..

I see you'll have no trouble putting the injectors to good use!

More packaging issues today, but sorted. Had to butcher my alternator to get the new pulley to fit correctly. Also discovered there are 2 different shaft sizes on the NA6 alternators.

Had to 'machine' the alternator case to get the alignment of the pulley correct. *machine means use angle grinder 8)

It's getting closer and closer to completion :)

Also got my new plugs and fitted the coils.

That would be fun. I wonder if I'll have my car back in time from KYP for it...

If you need some engine mounts, I have a spare set of mazdaspeed ones for when I break mine one day. If you are still waiting for yours to arrive, you could use them and give me yours when they arrive. Let me know.

Come on Simon we need you to pull your finger out and get this beast finished and out to the competitions.
If you need any help just yell out.
I am sure we can find some guys to drive your car every night to get the km's up to run it in.

Looking forward to seeing it back on the road with what looks like a lot more power. :)
Cheers

We just need to do an evening Bunbury run, that'd get the kms on the engine.

I also have some mazdaspeed engine mounts sitting on the shelf if that's what's holding you up.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Mounts arrived while I was on hols, all fitted, I have decided to go with my spare gearbox that I have never used, simply because it is not covered in oil :)

Even if I get the engine back in there, I still have some water plumbing to do and new brake hoses to sort.

Just remember everthing takes about 10 times longer with a 8 month old in the mix.

Got the motor back into the car today - yay at last. Still a way to go.

Custom brace for tightening the flywheel :?

Box installed

Bit of a squeeze to get in, stuff I borrowed from sox is a massive help.

New motor mounts

And it is in.

Biggest headache at the min is the water plumbing, I have to move 2 sensors. I need a custom ali tube with a couple of sensor mounting points. It is a bit of queeze to get the water down the cold side, but it should just fit.
