Magpie
Last run is usually around 4pm on the day - it gets dark here now by 5.30pm!!
Went and watched the 'Sprints' at Lakeside yesterday, quite a bit of action and some very impressive times posted. Not bad seeing 'twin' Subaru Libertys both sub 60 secs and also a tremendous run by Matt [justabitrusty] in his NB dropping to an awesome 1.02.85!!! Well done Matt
Also good to meet up with Doug [red NA Burpengary] and Eugene [Black NA Maleny]. It was Eugene's first run in the NA8 and he managed to get into the 69's at his first attempt!! Hope to see both guys at QR in 3 weeks
Also, first time i've seen a car come down towards 'Hungry' with smoke and flames billowing from the engine!! Mitsubishi Evo and lucky they managed to get it out pretty quick with no damage!! That same car also managed a 55+ during morning practice!!

EVERYONE
If you intend running at QR 21 May could you please indicate to Mark our Compeition Secretary so he has an idea of numbers attending. QR has increased the hire charges over last years fees and he will need an idea of our numbers, so flick him an email on the link below, even if you are not paying until next week or on the day.
compsecmx5@miata.net.au
Thanks

Depends how cold it is!! I prefer top down better vision unless it rains! If you take the hardtop you can always take it off, plenty of hands to assist, if I had one thats what I would do
The surface there is new since we last ran QR, mate tells me he had to change all his braking markers!! I'll work it out as I go!!

Those I have spoken with say yes it is! Turns 3-4-5 on the 'Clubman' are not as rough as before, I will go check Alex's [Opel Astra] times thru www.motorsportzone.com.au but then pre-resurface he didn't have the KU36's
Others says you have to re-adjust your braking points as well
Looking forward to it!! Just back from coffee down the M1 in the NA, had an elderly guy come up and check the car over, made some very nice comments and asked a lot of questions, then told me he had a Jensen back in Melbourne!! Another couple from Kingsaroy also checked it over, their son-in-law races an NA up here QLD Championship as well, so a nice morning so far. Now to mow the lawns!!

I had a look at 'motorsportzone' website for Alex's times [Opel Astra Turbo], there is a definate improvement over 2011 BUT, he now has the 36's and I think a few other mods, more so on the 'Sprint Circuit'
Sprint circuit 2011 1.08.28
Sprint circuit 2012 1.06.53
Clubman circuit 2011 1.10.65
Clubman circuit 2012 1.10.64
Leave it to you to evaluate! Not sure what the weather was like on those days

Saboteur
Great! even if you aren't sure, flick Mark an email so he has an idea of numbers, this one needs 36 to break even, I will see if I can get current numbers and post, but it's looking good as most leave it to the Monday 2 weeks out to pay their entry fee, and then there is always those who decide at the last moment!
compsecmx5@miata.net.au
Just cruised for milk and a coffee to the BP Southbound, damn it was so cold I put the roof up to come home!!
