Will an OE 2001 double din head unit fit inti an 92 NA6 if I change the toombstone to the later model. it looks from the pic I've seen as if it would still be to wide , the head unit is the non Bose lookalike unit.
I'm sure there is a post about this somewhere on here but I'm stuffed if I can find it

Thanks for that, all good on an install in the later non toombstone model but I'm still not sure that the 2001 OE NB mazda double din unit will fit an old NAS toombstone even if I change the toombstone to a later 98 one.

It should do - I put an SE headunit into my 2000 model Mazda 323. The 323 had the same 'cubby' as my NA6 with tombstone upgrade which was removed to make room.
