NB8B brakes on an NB8A - need the brake hoses too?

Postby gussy » Fri Apr 27, 2012 3:14 pm

Right,

I have been able to source a set of Sport (NB8B) brakes for my car. However, they don't come with the brake lines or mounting bolts though - can anyone confirm if I need to get NB8B brake lines and bolts in order to fit the larger brakes to an NB8A?

Cheers

I mounted a set of NB8B brakes on a NA6 and used the original hoses and bolts. All mated up with no issues.

Cheers J. There seems to be different part numbers for sport and non sport brakes for stainless lines for some reason though. I could have sworn I read something ages ago about the standard lines being every so slightly too short on the sport brakes though on full lock. Thanks for the advice.

They must be slightly different as I tried to re-use the braided lines that were on my car with NB8A brakes and they couldn't be used for some reason. We had to use the lines that were on the donor car.

Hmm, they seem to fit an NA fine but not an NB. No problem, cheers for the replies guys.
