This is the exact same setup I am looking at doing to my car...I have the sc14 blower sitting in the garage and wouldn't mind getting some brackets of you if you are making them...

Anymore details on the setup??

Perhaps you could convince Danny from MX5 Plus to CAD up some SC14 brackets to lasercut/CNC and sell (if there's enough interest).
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Well done John, you and your dad should be really proud of yourselves.
Fantastic piece of engineering, paint and mechanical work.

I've just finished installing a DIY Bullet Cars Kit on my 2002 MX5
Comes with a 30-84 Rotrex Supercharger
Supercharger Drive Oil
Oil lines, Oil cooler
Mounting Brackets
Belt and Tensioner.
I also put on an Inter-cooler
New Air intake Sensor just before the throttle body
Modified Racing Beat Performance Intake
Shock Tower Brace Mounting Bracket
No Pro Washer Bottle
Twin Core Aluminum Radiator 42mm
Mishimoto slim-line Radiator Fans and Cowling
Modified NRG Innovations MX5 Diversion Panel
Cobalt - Stainless Steel Engine Shield
Adaptronic Select ECU
Innovate LC-1 Kit
I made an inlet Restrictor to limit the boost until I get the 'H' beam rods and forged pistons installed - runs at 6lb
Also have a heavy duty clutch and a SMB exhaust to go on

Good numbers from low boost too.
Showing the non believers that SC is still a perfectly sensible option

How much torque at 3500rpm?

Or power if you prefer.

First time I've ever had a dyno done so I guess I didn't know what questions to ask.
It may have been 3rd or fourth in the 6 speed box.
The Kw's are at red line or close to it, but the torque max's at 88kmh.
This is a different type of graph to the ones I've seen usually posted.
The restrictor limits the boost, so maximum torque should be achieved earlier.
The intake air temp on the dyno was 2degrees above ambient, which was 27deg. I am happy with that because I have the oil cooler in front of the inter-cooler. That might account for the 'good numbers'
When driving "normally" you can feel the power build with rev's. If you hoof it there is a big rush around 4k rpm to redline, not a big turbo foot in the chest, but satisfying all the same. :D
Will be interesting at 1.0bar seeing it is just under 0.5 now
It's fairly easy to break traction in a straight line now, even with the torsen 2, but then I'm still using the adrenalin's I over cooked at a track day last year.
I'm happy with the outcome, it was an exercise to keep the skills up and learn about modern engine management.

It looks nice, with rotrexs in the states they are doing all sorts of funny things with them, from 5500rpm redline so they can have torque to turboing to get them bottom end to restrictors like yours.

I bet its fun on the street! makes you want to rev it all day long like a stock one.
