Re: My Black NB8A
I think you've sold me on the 15 x 7 nicket 6UL's, I've been trying to find decent pics of that size wheel on a NB that had standard ride height. I was concerned that the +36 offet might make them stick too far out, so with the stock suspension it might look silly, but all looks good in your pics. Obviously lower looks better, but its still way better than the stock rims in looks. Are your tyres 195 or 205's? Cheers, Mike.

Re: My Black NB8A
15*7+36 will stick out another 17mm compared to a 15*6+40
The difference is too small to be noticable to most people.

Do the 15*7 6ULs clear NB8B brakes?.... (rears are 276mm from memory)

Re: My Black NB8A
Thanks HKS, yeah 17mm isn't too bad. Also note that tyres are 195's, fit nicely on the rim. Re: brakes, I don't think the 15x7 fit 8B's or any big brake kits (Wilwood etc) but happy to be corrected. Most people with NB's seem to go for 15x8, but I want to keep my 195 tyres so the 15x7 is perfect.
Looking forward to see what mods you do next BP!

Re: My Black NB8A
I have (finally) fitted the GV front lip, my free days and the weather matched up at last. Hope to have the rear spoiler done during the week, the side skirts may have to wait until I have a second pair of hands and eyes to help me.
Will have photos up when the car is clean.

Re: My Black NB8A
I had it repaired and re-sprayed last year, before that it was very ordinary.

Re: My Black NB8A
Have been driving around a low RPM misfire and a slowly dying clutch for a while so have ordered a new Exedy Sports Tuff clutch, Xtreme lightweight chromoly 6.2kg flywheel and Magnecor ignition leads. Now to find time to fit it all

Re: My Black NB8A
Magnecors fixed my low RPM/high load misfire. (mostly, it's back a little now, but my leads were 2nd hand)
Make sure to also change spark plugs when you swap them, if it's been misfiring the old plugs are probably covered in carbon or unburned fuel.

Was going to get new plugs as well, *sigh* more money to spend.

Re: My Black NB8A
Plugs aren't expensive.
I think a set of NGK plugs is $20-$30 for a set.
Part number BK5RE-11
Iridium plugs don't really provide any benefit other than lasting a bit longer (I've also read they don't produce as strong of a spark as normal plugs too)
