Very nice. I had a look at the simmons wheels you did before these, you've definitely got a knack for this type of thing.
These weren't on Firesport were they? I was looking at some Enkei's just like these about 3-4 months ago
I love what you did with the centre caps too, very clever! I need to get some for my RPF1's, but to get the legit Enkei ones which look fairly similar to the ones you've made up here, they're about $60AUD each (shipped).

Green Comet, thanks for your advise to date. I'm almost ready to start my own wheel restoration.
Just a quick question though, can you use any other type of paint apart from the VHT Wheel paint?
I would like to paint my wheels a dark grey colour, but VHT Wheel paint only comes in White, Black (Glossy and Satin), Aluminium, and Silver.
Could you use the normal car arylic paint? How about the VHT Brake Caliper paint?

Or try buying new wheel centre cap decals to stick on top of your existing one from eBay. You just need to make sure you pick one that is the same diameter as the one on your RPF1s. On my Motegi's, I bought centre caps that had the Mazda logo, and they look great.
Below as just some Enkei samples available, and according to eBay cost about $60 for the set delivered:

I have contemplated doing this, but the major drawback is that they use an adhesive, whereas the legit ones Enkei makes are aluminium with a coloured insert behind a sealed plastic cap.
I need to get some splined lug nuts anyway, as the monkeys who put my wheels back on decided to use a big socket on their torque wrench and ruined the paint around the lug holes on the wheels, so i'll probably get either the konig helium centre caps or 6UL centre caps from goodwin at the same time, as they both fit RPF-1 and are silver painted aluminium. Got any pics of the decals on-vehicle?

You would be able to get away with normal acrylic paint, but I dont think it will last very long. The heat, dirt, sand, brake dust, stones etc will take their toll after a while. I dont know how the brake caliper paint will hold up, but it sounds like it might be alright. If you can get your hands on any Urethane high temp paint, then that should be fine. Any auto paint store should be able to make a rattle can up for you, in any colour you like, just tell them what you want to do, and they will fix you up. I would try with the caliper paint first though, or you could look at the Duplicolour wheel paints..
This is a very good guide for you..The colour he uses might be what you are after, its Duplicolor High Performance wheel paint in graphite. I dont know where they sell this paint, but repco, bursons etc should be able to get it in for you..
