1997 NA8 BRG LE

Postby jlo8872 » Thu Apr 12, 2012 7:15 pm

Hi,

I'm only new to the forum so please for give me if this is going over old ground.
Has any one tried fitting an NB double DIN unit to a NA?
Also did the NBs ever come out with MP3, USB, AUX compatability?

Cheers,

J.

As far as I know the later NAs should be able to fit double din units... then again I've never owned one so it's best to wait for a NA owner to help :P

None of the standard NB units had mp3/aux/usb compatibility standard. You CAN buy something called the AuxMod from America that plugs into the standard NB8B unit that changes the MD (I think) input to be Aux. Saying that the NB8B headunit it pretty average, you're probably better getting a decent aftermarket unit instead. Stereo replacement is pretty simple really, especially if the previous owner hasn't gutted the OEM wiring harness!

Thanks for answering my query.

It looks like I'm going aftermarket.
