Re: 16x8 supalites what offset
you will need to trim a lot of your plastic inner guards too.
unless you are going to do it properly stick to wheels with the correct offset for MX5's.
by properly i mean you will need to get flares and cut your inner plastic guards and also your outer steel guards too.
also keep in mind the 16x8's are around 10kgs which is very heavy for an mx5.

i still have the watanabes for spirited driving.. the new wheels are just for cruising. The other threads on the bigger forums are all mixed with some fitting and some that dont. I guess i wont know till i get my car back today.

im pretty sure the SA warehouse listed on the website is the factory where theyre made. the 16x8s were 260 a rim which is pretty damn cheap.
i got the car back today and the new paint job looks awesome. The watanabes really stick out now which is making me want to keep them and maybe look for another 2 for the rears for a staggered look. Amazing what a nice paint job can do for a car.

fronts are a good height for the street. the rears could go 1/2 inch lower to level it out.

Thats the least specific answer ever.
Almost as silly as people advertising to sell a car who say, 'lowered just right'. Just right for what.. Who?

x7 +12 could fit with rolled guards and 195/40-45's. i'm not much into 16's on NA's but i'd guess that your inner guards would need trimming or removing.

In the 5th post on this thread I offered to explain to you how to do the maths so you could measure exactly what will and wont fit at your ride height.
Dont expect any effort put into answering your question when you wont even walk outside, take a measurement and then come in and actually tell us what the ride height is.
"good for the street' is not a ride height, its an opinion.

Re: 16x8 supalites what offset
i was doing the calculations all morning with the link posted and therefore did not need any more help with working out offsets. I also said i would be keeping my current wheels (still looking for wider rears) staying with current height at the front and minor lowering at the rears when the coilovers arrive.

what do you mean by shipment? you order them from mania, they order them through YSR, they should turn up within a week.vrmmmpshhh wrote:im waiting on mania to get in their next shipment of yellowspeeds before i do anything else, even then i will have the front the same but the rears 1/2 inch lower.
love the look of the car. 16s i reckon would ruin it. thought of just going 15x7s or 15x8s?
