Re: Kris's MY08 NC
Hi Greg,
I got mine through GWR and they are fine. However, Sailor got his through MX5co.uk (i think) and they look like they might be a slightly higher quality product. It may pay to take a look at those ones as they might just sit a bit nicer than the ones i have.
Cheers

Re: Kris's MY08 NC
I am not proud to say it but my car has been completely filthy for awhile now and was really looking a bit upset (although i think there is some kind of merit in the "filthy rich" appearance...)
The car has not had a detail since its previous owner who used to get 6 monthly details, and since i don't have the spare coin for that sort of car treatment, i thought i would try my hand at car detailing. SO after a few tips over at detailingworld forum, and learnt a bit of the lingo, i got myself an APC, MPC, AG SRP, AG EGP, AGVRC, IPA, MF, CPC, did a TBC, clay, removed some RDS, etc etc etc. Anyway after a pretty long process i'm pretty happy with how things turned out for a first attempt and novice detailing.

Re: Kris's MY08 NC
Some more photos.
At some stage i will try cleaning up the wheel hubs, engine bay, and when i get a convenient chance ill clean up the wheels properly off the car.
Now i think the car will get dirty either tonight or definately tomorrow morning- but at least its cleaner, sealed and hopefully easier to clean!

When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

Haha GMI i know you want me to do something about my rims! I just need the cash! (and i've got tyres on these rims that are simply brilliant!!) Whats happening with your car? Hope you can't sell it Perhaps your volks need a new home...??? I've warmed up to the idea of clear side indicators, I think that might be next on the list, and they are heaps cheaper than rims!

Wakefield Park 19/02/2012 - First track day.
Brilliant day, looking forward to many more!
The day is extremely well organised and run- very professional. As always the new MX5 people i met were very friendly and helpful.
"Towards the end of the day, a number of the groups were combined and I got i think 7-8 sessions around the track in total (awesome!) I was able to try and keep up with some nb's and did 5 reasonably consistent laps! It's funny, because i wasn't going thinking about times, but then after 3 sessions i was more keen to know my times, after another 2 sessions i was really hoping to break 1:20 and thinking it wasn't going to happen today but then on the last run smashed it! 1:18.92.
Just such a fun day regardless of times though- my wife thinks i look ridiculous how i'm grinning all the time! haha.
Definately going to have to take a look at the fast guys youtube clips around WP and figure out where these guys drop another 10 seconds!!! "

Alas I won't be able to make it as I still have one Ohlins that needs to be repaired. It's coming out this weekend but I don't think it will be back in time. Looking like June for me.....

See you tomorrow !
Recently I've been interested in detailing and i've moved on to fixing up another car in the garage- its a VW not a MX5 but i thought the product might be of interest to some as i have also used it on my MX5. Its Iron X. After washing the VW wheels i've always been annoyed about the left over "black specs" that would not budge. Enter waxit.com.au and 2 days later Iron X was on my door step. Brilliant.
Here are the photos i took of the clean.
I have absolutely no connection what so ever to waxit or iron x, i'm just a pretty standard muck around in the weekend man cave kind of guy, but i thought some online surfers might be interested to see a real world iron x result of which im stoked with- i can definitely vouch for this product.
