Blue connector behind NA headlight assembly

Hey does anybody have this blue connector behind their popup lights? From memory it's on the wires leading to the lights. It's probably almost an inch long. Just wondering what it is.

that your 12v, its can be used to power your timing light.

Electric water pump and EBC are common uses for it.

May be common uses on a modified car? but Koop21 is right

Why wouldn't one clip the alligators straight to the alternator, seems easier than making a plug after finding that connector?

Yeah sweet, so are you supposed to make the connector as it has both male and female plug ends? Is that the intention of it?

From memory last time I used it for timing light attached positive of timing light to male connector & earthed negative of timing light somewhere else appropriate.

not familiar with the NA set up but possibly someone has added a 2 pin connector- it would not surprise if it has 2 blade terminals positions - which in turn can be connected to a mating 2 pin plug for perhaps an accessory? You can check to see if the terminal(s) are live when lights off , parkers on, headlights on etc. These connectors are of course a very elegant way to make connections.

I don't know that plug specifically, but there are a few empty plugs around the headlights on NAs.
I know one of them is for the optional foglights.

Just so I can build up my post count to keep up with Mr. "the-dog-goes-woof, the-cat-goes-meow, I-have-nothing-constructive-to-add-but-I-will-post-something-anyway" Morlock;

Probably some blanks for NA6 and/or Eunos Roadsters, none on my old NA8 that I can recall.

12 volt source, its in all na variants from factory. Used for power for diagnostics proposes. Not high current supply so not recommended for long term supply of thirsty equipment.
