carbon fibre mirrors

Postby vrmmmpshhh » Mon Apr 02, 2012 7:08 pm

hi guys,, cars getting resprayed at the moment and the stock mirrors are a bit tattered. Im wanting to replace them with the small rectangle carbon fibre mirrors like the ones omgpham sell or the universal ones from mx5mania. the problem with omgphams is that the arms are bit too long for my liking and the manias ones have been sold out for a while. I cant seem to find anyone who has them in stock. even ebay aus doesn't have the universal ones. I know craftsquare??? have a version but they are ridiculously expensive. Anyone have any suggestions?

A forum member may be bringing some in.

If that forum member is making progress with that project, I'm sure there will be a number of people keen to buy.

This was something I was told at a MX5 event last month.

those mirrors are the same ones that omgpham sell for 350 delivered. the arm points the mirror a little too high for me.

I'm quite sure it was less where I saw it - or that might have been for the pair.

I know the rear-view mirror they had was about that price.

he's selling them? He only just installed them

They are on eBay starting from $129USD

If the arm is too long/high, get someone to cut a section and weld it shorter, or cut the end off and re-tap the thread for either the car mount or mirror mount

Omgpham actually supply those mirrors. Looks like I'll email him and see if they get here before Friday.

Motorbike shop. Plenty of choices, and usually cheaper than what the cool kids pay for the "car" ones.
Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever.
