Does anybody know off the top of their head whether there is a maximum distance low beams are allowed to spill and, if so, how far?
Did a quick google and forum search with no luck.

This might help.

I believe that the requirements are not so much about distance but more about the angle/aiming of the lights so as to ensure you are not blinding oncoming cars.
Anyway, have a read and see if that helps.

Just a quick note,
If you are going to flash your headlights to warn oncomers of a speed cam. Make sure it's not to a unmarked cop car
