How much to expect for timing belt replacement? NA 89

Postby Clutch_101 » Wed Mar 28, 2012 12:00 pm

Hi folks

It's come to that time when my timing belt needs to be replaced. She's looking pretty firm. I dont know how long the last one was changed. It's done around 137k.

How much is a reasonable price for this job? I understand that the water pump should be replaced with this?

Does anyone in the Sydney area recommend where I get should get some quotes from?

Thanks in advance!

A Vic forumite got a labour only quote of $225 about a year ago from a reputable, well known mech down here, so shop around. MX5 Mania & TT Auto North Sydney come to mind for quotes. And, yes replace water pump when replacing timing belt.
