The holes in the tombstone REALLY need to go.

Do you really think the 2 holes are so offensive that they completely override all the nice bits on the car? I think they're there due to the design of the tombstone bringing the face closer to the dash structure. So there isn't room for all the plastic behind the face the OEM one has.

The rocket launchers are fun ;)

I think me and hks_kansei have the same streak of obsessive about a good finish which has something small that jars. I wouldn't buy that part because the hole would bug me, and it wasn't exactly cheap.

The important thing is that Alex is happy with it, and that it's to her taste. I'm sure it will evolve over time - it seems most cars here are in a state of flux.

There's lots of positive feedback for the car :) you get BF points for being supportive and I'm sure having put in a fair bit of work to get Maki ready to come down here that you feel a proprietary interest as well. Will Maki be at GC tonight?

I'm just amazed that it's possible for a small design feature to over ride everything else on the car to the extent its worth mentioning 2 couple of mm holes and nothing else. it's like judging the whole car by the hue of the red on the hazard button, the sound of the horn or something equally petty. Worth notingbut not overriding. I guess some people focus on the positives, others fucus on the negatives and imperfections whether it be specifically cars or other.

Guess i am Odd

I actually like the holes.
If anything was to change, i would add a nice analogue clock in the bottom left of the tombstone, but i would understand not cutting it up

Does this mean the car will not be around Sydney?
Have i missed something?

That photo was only of the tombstone, rather than the whole car, and I didn't mean to come across as negative. Seems there's plenty of very positive comments on this thread, more than enough to not focus on those that aren't. I'm sorry if I upset you.

I'm sorry but I honestly don't see why all the uproar about the two holes. Aside from not being able to take criticism, this isn't even your car Ben! Further more, Alex hasn't even had a chance to comment about it yet....
If people pointing out two holes in your partners tombstone is enough to give you an emotional breakdown then I really worry how you take bad news.

Oh and lastly, I'm not sure who you are talking about when you say we are condemning the rest of the car. Those are your words.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Don't know where or why this turned personal, don't have the time to play internets and deal with attacks about my emotional health?? Sorry. Point is why only say something negative instead of positive or constructive. The nice thing about this thread is seeing many positive and constructive comments, would be a pity to see it deteriorate into yet another thread of negativity. It's an awesome and unique car.

You do realise the only reason this happened was because you went off at Nik for pointing out the holes right? FFS... who cares. But oh well.

What's happening with the motor in this thing anyway?
