A little birdie told me that NSW was going to host Natmeet this year?

Is this true?

Natmeet 2012 and Wakefield Park. "A secondary method of fastening the bonnet" is required.

So, not including those who have drilled holes through the bonnet for pins, what are NC owners using? Please post a photo of your restraint system and advice as to how you made it.

Also, your NC (along with practically every car) should have a secondary bonnet catch as standard.

It sure does. Some see the need for a secondary fastening which ends up being a second safety catch of sorts. Anyway, it doesn't apply to category 1-7 which I missed in at least two readings

From the CAMS Board Brief of Oct 2011: SCHEDULE B – BONNET RESTRAINTS
The Board noted the recommendation of the Australian Sport & Club Development Commission that within Schedule B for road registered cars, a standard two stage fastener would be appropriate in speed events such as supersprints and hillclimbs and the regulations have been updated to provide clarification.

It is common practice for many competitors in speed events to fit a retention device under the bonnet, this type of fastening will be specifically provided for and may be used in speed events for non-road registered vehicles instead of the requirements for race meetings.

These changes and clarifications are designed to encourage participation in these predominantly club level events and will be implemented in the 2012 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport.

Reminder to Queensland entrants: If you are entering a Qld road registered vehicle in the Wakefield Park track day, you will need a valid CTP insurance motorsport extension to cover yourself.

I'll check with Mike at the committee meeting next week, but pretty sure everyone will have personal injury insurance cover at the NatMeet trackday, regardless of which state they come from.

This is CTP insurance (injury to others) Guran and it is a unique requirement for vehicles with Qld registration being used in motorsport, regardless of the location of the activity. It's a quirky (PIA) thing in Qld motor accident legislation. Personal accident insurance and public liability insurance are separate matters which have no bearing on the state of registration.

Please ignore my previous comment. It is WRONG! Must have been half asleep when I wrote it.

The AASA insurance permit paid by the club at trackdays only covers the club and it's officials against any claims for negligence in the event of an injury. Drivers do not have any personal or vehicle cover on the track unless they pay for it themselves (cost prohibitive). All drivers sign a waiver to accept that they recognise this situation.

JBT sorry for the misunderstanding.
