I'd like to thank Rod from Tetsuya Garage for the speedy service. He managed to get Garage Vary to first make the lip and then sent to my place in time for the All Jap Day show this weekend. He predicted it to arrive on the 23rd (today) about 3 or more weeks ago and it arrived exactly on time. Very good communication and service. I would definitely purchase from and recommend tetsuya garage again.

Also thanks to Richard from mx5plus for organising the rollbar to arrive on time as well. Great service from the guys up that way too =D

PS lip is already installed and it looks goood =p

And after an awesome day installing the rollbar, was heading out to town with the gf, and a clutch line blows.
the rubber hose connected to the steel line connected to the clutch has 2 holes in it that makes it look like it burst.
doubt I can get it fixed by sunday considering it is saturday tomorrow.
so after all this preparation for All Jap Day, I will have to make a miss.

I'm farking pissed. >_>"

I didn't use any instructions, as I've done this before in other cars and it's quite simple anyway.

You will need to uninstall the interior piece at the top which means removing the visors, the interior dome light. be careful when you pull it off (does need a bit of force), but there are some clips you don't wanna break/bend. then I just experimented with the wires connected to the back of the dome lights to see which one controls the light on/off with the door.
Atm, the footwell lights will turn on whenever the door is open REGARDLESS of whether the interior domelight is set to do this or not. So the domelight can be set to off, but the footwell lights would sitll turn on when the door is open.

One problem I had mounting my led strips is that, on the drivers side, there are no metal pieces to stick the strip on, and the dbl sided tape doesn't adhere that well. Once I'm free, I'll probably drill a couple of holes into the plastic trim and zip tie the lights to it.

PS: I think there was a few similar tutorials on miata.net in the garage. might have a look there.

@sliq, unfortunately my car doesn't run the front mudguards anymore, as I have sold it to someone. Main reason being, I now have sideskirts and the front mudguards are in the way.

New pictures available from my photoalbum.

Just won a bid on a pair of replica bride gias seats. I know some of you will have a thing against replica seats, but oh well, if it can hold me snuggly, I don't really care. 670 for a pair of seats is hard for me to pass by.

PS: my gf doens't know yet... dreading the moment I tell her, wish me luck. :(

I'm a small guy, about 162cm, 60kg, size 30 waist. So fitment is great. even my bigger friends fit ok around the shoulder, a bit uncomfortable, but still good.

Haven't really added much to the car since the last update, just a few small things here and there.
I've since joined a car club which does hill runs every friday, it's a cams approved club, and hill runs are done in a pretty safe manner, single lane driving, no overtaking double lines, keep to the speed limit (as much as possible) etc.

I've entered into a gymkhana in a few weeks, and a private track day in early november, and then as part of a club display in mid november which should all be fun.

I've spun out once in the hills on a foggy and slimy road, slow speed elbow-ish corner. Felt the rear slide, thought I could hold it and then there was a bump in the road that made the car snap pass the point of return. The only damage was a scratched front bumper and very lightly bruised ego.

As for the car itself, not much has been done, a "May the G-Forces be with you" sticker on the front windscreen.

Custom shift extender and shift knob, which I promised pham (omgpham) I'd take pictures of, but I'll wait till I get another shift knob from him as this one is a bit too small.

Black side indicators with chrome trim (which I'm not happy with as I dislike chrome) so I'll be taking the chrome trim off and painting it matte black when I can be bothered.

My remote boot release is screwed now though, when I use the remote boot release, it seems the bracket for the actuator isn't sitting right, so when it pulls the lever, it falls out of position and then the boot doesn't lock when you try to close it. I've had a few quick tries with zip ties, which work when the car isn't moving, but once vibration kicks in, it loosens, and it all screws up again. I'll be taking it apart maybe tomorrow, and try to see if I can fix it with more zip ties =]

I'll add some photos. There's a few as I've been to a 2 hardtuned.net meets and 2 long day cruises.
