AS above.
Looks like one for an NA if it helps. (NB8B comes to a gentle point, I think NB8A is rounded in teh centre)

I'm just curious, how can you guys tell it's a knock off / replica?
I got mine from Tetsuya Garage, but the finish looked similar apart from the outside of this lip which looks like it's been rattle canned.

It hasn't been rattle-canned - I wiped it down with a wet rag after spraying it to kill all the spiders that were crawling all over it
It has no marking on it at all. I figured it may be a GV, but I would have guessed that a GV would have some kind of identifying markings. I can't even find a serial number on this one, let alone manufacturer's name.

Don't recall my GV having any markings on it.

Pretty sure the real gv lips are thicker underneath. this looks like a mold of the top that's been cast and stamped so the inside is identical to the top. Could be wrong though. I'm just going from memory.
I have a legit Garage Vary and it had no identifiable markings on it. They're just solid abs/poly. I heard the real ones new come with a sticker and keyring but I never got mine when I bought it, same with a lot of people it seems.

How long have the copies been available? That looks quite old so might be an original. At the end of the day if it fits and looks good that's all that matters.

lol - true, if I was fitting it to my car - but I will probably end up selling it and I won't be marketing it as a genuine GV unless I am sure it is the real deal
And it really isn't that old - I snapped these pics after rescuing it from a wet grassy home infested with redbacks... With a bit of a clean and some rubber treatment, it will look new (apart from a few minor scratches on the underside)...

lol
I grow all sorts of MX5 parts at my place. We have a hydroponic setup in the garage
In reality, it is off a car I bought that has been sitting outside for a couple of months - I have only just got around to pulling some parts off it. There was foot-high grass surrounding it, and the lip was just about the closest thing to the insect party going on in the backyard ATM...
We have a plague of redback spiders at our place right now, you take your life into your own hands when working underneath a car that has been sitting outside!! Thankfully, I have some excellent stuff that kills redbacks instantly... provided you see them before they see you ;)
