"MAZDA" badge

Hi everyone, i had noticed when i got my NC2 Roadster Coupe (PRHT) that there was no "MAZDA" badge on the left hand side of the bootlid (it does have the "MX-5" badge on the right hand side) and was worried that the car may have been in a crash and been repaired and the badge had been left off. since then i have seen a number of Roadster Coupes (PRHT's) and they too do not have the "MAZDA" badge on the left hand side of the bootlid. Was this a factory oversight or did that model simply not have the badging...? Just curious....

My nc1 has the Mazda badge on it

looks like Mazda badge has been deleted for NC2 - ones in dealerships here don't have one.

thanks for that... seems like a funny thing to do.... delete the "MAZDA" badge but it has put my mind at rest....

Not that weird, I debadged my na yesterday. Some people just prefer the rear without the clutter of chrome badges and branding. Personally I think it looks cleaner with just paint. But to each their own. Last owner may have taken it off themselves or a dealer option.
