Not going any lower because it will sacrifice ride quality, handling & functionality as that its a daily. As far as the lip goes..... it has been on my list since I have bought the car.

Cheers Doug, From what i have seen of your car it will be quite a neat little thing once you get it sorted.

Mum's has the good old brown radiator thing starting to happen, mine is fine so I'm going to swap mine out & get a all alloy unit at one stage in the near future

I have also grown to like the wing  Its the same wing found on the Roadster off Initial D 4th Stage episode 1&2, also i have not seen another red 5 with one yet since i have had my car....... Plenty of Green's & Blue's but not Reds  Sorta makes it unique like my tan top.

As far as the paint & panels go mums car is going for a full spray in the near future.

Just a few more pictures just because I like pictures.......

Image
What the yellow tinting did, I like what it has done & has dulled off the sharpness of the LED's

Image
Magnaflow Performance 2.25" stainless exhaust 8) & the note is awesome nearly no rasp

Image
& I installed a Kicker 6" Component system in the front doors. & no i did not butcher the panels..... they were done before i got the car, I just made use of the holes they cut :P

Oh & I bought a new head unit as I was getting annoyed with the old one. :/ As it had no iPod/iPhone input & scratched cd's pretty good just from the player itself.....

Well its now been exactly 12mths & 6 days since I have had my MX & covered nearly 46,000km's. Done a road trip to QLD. Met many great people along the way. Made many freinds. Had highs & lows & My love for the car has grown & grown <3.

 Hows this for weird too..... on Sunday exactly 12mths since i have owned the car the fuel pump died. Somewhat lucky it failed in my driveway at home & I was able to fix the issue on the day thanks to Cheyne. THANKS BLOKE.... I owe ya bigtime for the lift to Repco.

I could have mailed you some standard panels and you could have mounted the tweeters properly. Id have happily sent them.

Was a bit of a fail from both party's. The bloke at JB HiFi gave me the wrong box to start off with I had originally had asked for 6.5" 2ways, some how I ended up with 6" splits (same as car already had from the previous owner just newer & better) as that i had already removed the old tweeters from the old system (one was missing & the other was jammed in the vent hole) & I replaced it with the standard vent ball like normal.

The original speaker cover was already hacked up anyways & I did not want to hack up my doorcards as that i had replaced my old ones with better replacements. Knowing that a tweeter of this style works better in a higher position in the car eg. in the vent holes or top corner of the dash. The mounting hardware did not want to do what I wanted so I just mounted them on my old hacked up speaker covers & left it as that for now.

Later I want to put stock covers on anyways.

What it was like the day I got it, on the drivers side there was a tweeter in the Vent hole. on the passenger side there was no tweeter but a standard ventball was where it should be... not to mention the speaker grilles on the original set were clarion's & belive it or not some cheep crummy Chinese speakers were in its place anyways & the voice coils were jammed on them :|

To see the then and now pics, you've done so well. It's looking good, all the little things that you covered and improved!

No worries.

The reason the tweeter sounds much nicer aimed at your face is because the high pitch sounds it produces only travel in a straight line, in the door they ricochet all over the place and echo etc before they get to your ears, thats why the high end in a car always sounds like a mush of treble when the volume goes up in a car without properly mounted splits.

Either way the splits are still a better speaker than the 2 ways so mounting them low will still be better than the 2 ways mounted down there.

Replaced my busted bent & buckled accelerator/brake pedal box assembly as that I have been procrastinating for the last 12mth's. What a pain of a job..... I dislike anything to do with working under the dash & today was no exception.

So I was replacing the Na6 Pedal box assy with a NB one, knowing that they are basically the same unit I opted to choose the NB box for age/mileage reasons. While I was in there I have noticed some rather shotty wiring & I was rather annoyed with it so I'm going to get that fixed sometime in the near future.

Things to do in the near future.

1- Repair the rather poor wiring.
2- Roll my front guards.
3- Anti rattle clips for my rattling brakes.
4- Re-bush the suspension.
5- Look into some sort of R.O.P. Device

Things I would LIKE to do in the near future.

1- OEM Front & Rear lip package
2- Roadster Garage 1Din/3Gauge combo.
3- Look into repairing my continuing deteriorating paintwork & lifting gloss
4- Replace my bonnet hinges & bonnet. (one of the many known rattles i have)

Cheers Gareth.
