Which tyre?

Postby LuckyCat » Thu Mar 08, 2012 10:36 am

Hi , I've just acquired some 17 x 7 ET49 rims. Now looking at tyres. The car is an NC2 with 205 45 17
. One of my little projects.
Do I

Go for Michelin PS3 205 45 17 winner of wheels mag tyre test

or Kumho KU36 215 45 17 which may be noisier but will correct speedo

or import some Michelin Pilot Super Sport from the US?

and what would be the legality of the wider tyre as only 205 45 17 is specified on the cars tyre placard? If a tyre size is not sold here (Michelin Super Sport) does it comply with ADRS ?

I have KU36 215/45 17" on my NC. They are well priced, very grippy, legal, not noisy and do correct the speedometer indicated vs actual speed error....IMHO.
