Oil Leak issue

Postby ozi_milhouse » Thu Feb 23, 2012 11:05 am

Hey All,

Any advice would be great. See the attached photo. This leak was evident after i cleaned the sump and ran the car for only a couple of minutes at idle. Looks to be leaking from either the sump gasket or from the oil pump, block, pan junction. Would you guys think it more likely to be the sump gasket or the oil pump gasket???

Cheers

too difficult to tell from that picture. could be any of those. as can only see the bottom of the enigne. could be coming from anywhere above that.

See if you can trace it further up. If you can't find any oil further up just dump some RTV gasket on the sump seam, and see how you go. Replacing the sump gasket is worth more pain than putting up with a couple of oil drips.
