I just noticed the post by TedMX5 about a "free lunch" . To avoid any confusion please be advised that "there is no such thing as a free lunch" and in the case of the the Tech Event on 10 March 2012 you must take the saying literally.

The MX-5 Club NSW has organised the event for MX-5s with club members only recieving a $24 discount off the advertised cost of an alignment from Spinning Wheel.

Spinning Wheel is providing discounted suspension packs for members (see More Info on Club's Event Calendar) and speakers for the Tech Talks specifically on alignment, tyres and suspension set ups for MX-5s without charge.

Victor is organising the Tech Event that does not cost either a member or non member anything to attend but neither Victor, the MX-5 Club of NSW or Spinning Wheel are shouting a lunch for those who take up an invitation to attend . If you want to share in the food and drink then your will have to put in whatever Victor deems a reasonable for pizza, coke etc

***Prices are confirmed at $88 for any NSW Club Members and $112 for Non-Members. I would strongly encourage any 'not-yet-members' coming on the day to join. This is a club event and there's a great team of volunteers like Mike and I who dedicate our time to serve the common interests of (predominantly) Club Members. The most direct way of thanking us is to support the NSW MX5 Club itself by joining its membership. The discount for this event alone is almost half of the first year's membership fee (it drops significantly from the second year onward) and mark my words that there'll be several more 'Tech Days' coming up later this year that will pay more than pay for the membership itself SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!!!

***Last but not least, I need to start coordinating our lunch now. I'll be ordering a variety of pizzas from Dominos and I'll be purchasing some soft drinks and water for people to share. The cost will be $5 for drinks and half a pizza each. If you are coming to lunch, please bring a $5 note and arrive by 12noon so that we'll be finished with our meals by the time Stu starts on his section of the Tech Talk.
