Pearlescent paint

I've heard this is expensive, I have a small spray painting job, I need some parts colour-matched...for a project. Different surfaces - hoop bar covers, a console, and a front splitter.

Anyone?

If it;s what I'm thinking of (that colour shifting paint?) it's a fairly difficult process to apply.

It basically needs a base coat (black normally) then the actual paint is applied over the top.

So as well as the cost of the paint, there's also more labour in getting it applied.

Not to mention it will be near impossible to match unless you know what paint was used last time.
