Weather Strip
The passenger door was missing 2 clips So the weather strip sat up quite high and didn't seal. Big thanks to Eren who gave me some spare clips he had, all nice and flush now and no more squeaky door trim after rain!
Headlight covers
The headlight cover gaps were pretty dodgy looking, so I fixed them.
I did the proper way for the passenger side:
Step 1. Remove the plastic light bezel
Step 2. Loosen the 4 screws holding on the headlight cover.
Step 3. Adjust as needed, and retighten when done.
Worked well, however I could not get the loosen the screws of the driver side, even after spraying WD40 everyday for a week, just won't budge.
Lucky for me there is a dodgy way also:
Step 1: Remove the plastic light bezel
Step 2: Grab rear edge of barn doors, tug upwards gently.
Yay flush!
Head Unit
To mount the head unit up the top, I had to drill holes in the original cage
When I got the HU the guy tried to sell me a wiring loom adapter. $30??? pfffttt no thanks.
30 mins later of soldering...
Fully sick remote bass control mounted in centre console glove box
So I finally got the proper sized cubby hole for the NA tombstone. Was supplied with screws and fits absolutely perfectly, I could not be happier with how it looks!

Hi Emily.
Just reading your thread and you mention your car is swirly after polish. You could try using Johnsons baby powder- not joking. Try it on a panel- sprinkle on rub (not to hard) wash off. It is commonly used as a final buff on very good paint refinishes. It will not damage your paint.

New Headlights
Anyone who has dríven an import/eunos NA know that 2 candle sticks would be better than the original sealed headlights
So I finally got around to getting new "Crystal" semi-sealed units and some nice bright white H4 globes.
Got the lights off eBay for $50 new and the globes from AutoOne for $15.

the only difficulty was getting the large rectangular plug into the small circular rubber boot.
They have alot of funky reflectors inside
So I was to eager to get "before" pictures (lol)
My driveway is about 10m long,
here is standard beam:
high beam:
You can see a very clear cut off point, which is good, and they are muchhhhh brighter than before
Yes I adjusted them properly, went to a carpark at night and ruled a line with chalk on the wall and everything. Got some weird looks haha.

Ignition Leads
The car hasn't been starting too well lately, so I thought I should start with the little things first.
NGK spark plugs were replaced very recently, I don't know how old they were, didn't seem too bad though.
old vs. new
The leads that were on the car when I bought it were Bosch Super Sports, they looked really old and were cracked in places around the sheath, so I replaced with Top Gun leads. Yes I pushed down on them and made sure they were secure etc. Basically the car ran worse and worse, and eventually started to misfire, loose all power and sound like sh*t. So I pulled over, popped the bonnet...
Yep, the lead CAME OFF, by itself, it had also melted through the outer casing, was obviously faulty. The one next too it was just sitting ontop aswell. They were really loose when I tried to push them back on
Taught me a lesson though, don't buy aftermarket crap they sell at car shops, get genuine mazda or better.

There really is a notable difference, car starts very well now!! and runs much smoother when cold.
Apart from loosing a few kw because the engine bay is no longer colour co-ordinated, I am a happy customer

Yeah I can fit 2 body boards behind the passenger seat and still carry a passenger.
I also went down to the snow last year in my nb with 2 snowboards strapped to the roof

Yes the exhaust came with the silencer.
All the nuts have seized on the cat so I couldn't fit the exhaust today, I have soaked them in wd40 and hopefully I can get them off tomorrow. If not I can take it to my local mechanic and get him to do it.
You guys are scaring me a little, stop ruining my excitement :/

Alex runs the end of it on his nb hence why he asked about the silencer. It will be loud, you may like it that way though!
